Polish Folk Song and Dance Group Shamrock was established in October 2009 supported by Dominican Polish Chaplaincy in Dublin. At the moment the dance group consists of 20 members. The group’s program icludes national, regional dances and selected regional folk songs.
Its founder and choreographer is Małgorzata Dulny, long time member of Szczecin Folk Song and Dance Group Krąg, graduate of Polish Folklore Group Instructors’ Training College at UMCS in Lublin, Poland.
Polish Folk Song and Dance Group Shamrock is the unique group in Ireland promoting our native folklore on the Emerald Island. Its main aim is to present and hand down the richness of the Polish culture to all the nationalities, especially the new generations. At the same time it is a fantastic way of promoting talents. The group does its best to be proud ambassodors of our motherland culture and enhance the charm of the Polish folklore.
